Associated Industries of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (MACCE) announced this morning that AIM will provide administrative services to MACCE under a management agreement expected to be approved at the MACCE annual meeting tomorrow.
The management agreement calls for AIM to provide billing, meeting management and other services to MACCE, an association of senior executives from nearly 100 chambers of commerce throughout Massachusetts.
“Since its establishment more than 90 years ago, AIM has enjoyed positive working relationships with local and regional chambers of commerce in carrying out mutually supported public policy agendas to improve the state’s economic climate. We see the agreement for AIM to provide administrative services to MACCE not only as a cost-saving measure, but also as an opportunity to form an even closer working relationship between AIM and MACCE member chambers from across the state,” said Richard Lord, AIM’s president & CEO.
The MACCE annual meeting will take place in Lenox.
“Receiving administrative support services from AIM will allow MACCE to concentrate on carrying out its mission to assist our members with their personal and professional development and provide them with opportunities for the exchange of ideas, information and access to management resources.Additionally, we hope this affiliation will lead to a more unified and cohesive voice for business in the commonwealth,” said MACCE President Tom O’Rourke, CCE, president & CEO of the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The agreement would become effective immediately.
